尽管把玩的音乐并不创新，然而藉著主唱那受过古典声乐训谏，比美枪与玫瑰的主唱 AXL ROSE 及史奇洛主唱 Sebastian 的宽广唱腔 ，在加上绝佳的填词谱曲与无懈可击的演奏技巧。 FireHouse 这四个人的摇滚乐团所释放出的爆发力，已然使整个摇滚乐坛再度活跃起来。FireHouse 的历史应追溯到 1988 的此北卡罗来纳，在当时，由 MichaelFoster［DRUM］及 Bill Leverty［GUITAR］领军的 White Heat 与另一支由 C.J Snare［VOCAL］及 Perry Richardson 所领导的 Max Warrior 是当地乐团的两大主力。在一方面厌倦了始终唱别人的作品的表演生涯，一方面考虑到结合完美的唱腔及写曲才华可成就一实力强劲乐团的互相情况下，重新调整组合的 White Heat 于焉产生。该年 9 月，在历经数月的奔走连络后， White Heat 终于得到摇滚新宠乐团 Slaughter 的首肯，于洛杉机助其制作完成了一个包括＂Ought Be A Low″＂Rock On The Radio″＂Home Is Where The Heart Is″等曲在内计10首歌的样本［DEMO］录音带。隔年在一场演唱表演中，C.J Snare 那受歌迷一致推崇已臻职业水准的唱腔终于引起巡回至此的 Jon Bon Jovi 注意并赞赏有加，除了提供指导及建议外，并不遗力的为其寻求唱片合约。在自费发行了单曲＂Home Is Where The Heart Is″之后 White Heat 在维吉尼亚及南北卡罗来纳一带掀起不少的回响，在当地电台曾是点播冠军。有了不错的开始。在感受到 White Heat 独特魅力后， Epic 唱片抢先在 90 年春签下该团。而考虑到加拿大亦有一同名团体且要求 25,000 美金的情况下， White Heat遂正式更名为 FireHouse 。迎向更璀璨的摇滚之路。包含 12 首作品的同名专辑发行于 1990 年 9 月，在音乐风格上著重在传统硬式摇滚中创造出些许流行商业气息，在搭配上该团得天独厚的合声技巧及演奏水准，以期能营造出怀旧却不觉陈腐的多型态乐风。「Don't Treat Me Bad」即获得 Billard 流行榜 #19 的佳绩，接著又以一首感人抒□摇滚曲「Life Of Lifetime」蝉连排行榜 # 5 两周，自此奠定了他们在乐坛的稳定势力，更成为近年来少数仍能兼顾流行与传统硬式摇滚乐风。
