个人认为将她和Celine相提并论，确实是因为她的声线有Celine的味道，但Joana的音域俨然没有Celine的宽广，但却比Celine多了几分浑厚，甜美。不过值得一提的是Joana从小在美国长大，她的英文发音比Celine要精确些。特别是专辑中的Lucky Star，令人耳目一新。

最先认识Joana Zimmer是从她为德国偶像剧verliebt in Berlin演唱的I Believe (Give a little Bit...)开始的,起初我还不知道她原来是看不见,只是觉得说她每次出现总是戴着墨镜,以为她是装酷或者眼睛怕光什么的,没想到她却是盲人。一直以来都蛮佩服她的,虽然看不见,但却总带给我们美妙的歌声。我觉得她显然就是Celine Dion和Andrew Bocelli的化身!她的音域很广,有时听着象CD,而同样是盲人歌手的她和AB也的确是有些相像,区别或许就在于一个是男的,一个是女的,一个唱的古典多一点,一个则更多为流行
